Women receiving corn seeds for planting

Women receiving corn seeds for planting

Women have received numerous support in terms of hybrid corn seeds and beans for planting. Each one receives support in terms of extension services from our agronomists who guides them on how to plant and the season dynamics. Their lives have changed and those of their families as a result of high yields. The surplus harvest is sold and they get money to solve other household basic needs in life.

Land being an issue in Busoga region, as a result of land fragmentation due to over population and planting of sugarcane as a cash crop, women are encouraged to use the available space to cultivate for crop planting. They are trained by our facilitators on the adoption of climate smart agriculture such as irrigation to be able to produce throughout the year.

Financial Literacy

Weekly savings by women's group

Weekly savings by women's group

Ladies are empowered with skills of financial literacy. Once in a week, they gather and contribute funds that are kept with the group treasurer. Whoever wants to borrow money on a small interest can do so. The group comprises of 30 members and we have 10 groups affiliated to the Organization.

Most ladies are single mothers who lost their husbands and are doing husband responsilities. They engage in informal sector businesses to earn a living and sustain their lives. Learning from COVID-19, saving power has grown up to prepare for any eventualities like may occur.

Education Services

Outreach program

Outreach program

We have 100 children under our care and they are all in school. They attend different schools and they are in different classes.

This is possible through concerted effort by well wishers and sponsors. The greatest need in this Nonprofit is here. Education is seemingly expensive and yet children have to go to school to shape their future.

We ought to have more donors to support in sponsoring the kids in Luuka District, Uganda. The illiteracy levels are high characterized by school dropouts and teenage pregnancies. High crime rates are prevalent as a result of school dropouts that render children redundant and some end up on streets.

We have a long term plan of putting up our own structures to have children study from there as we hire teachers only. This will minimize on expenses incurred in paying fees in different schools expensively. Anyone to champion this initiative is highly welcome and we shall appreciate their effort.

Partners

US friends from Illinois

Many people have supported us in running this Nonprofit without which maybe we would have stalled. The basic needs in life such as food, clothes, rent for accomodation, medication, tuition among others have been possible as a result of local and foreign funders. We indeed appreciate every contributions made towards the daily running of this Organization by the people of God. May Almighty God reward you abundantly!

We don't have permanent donors though. We therefore welcome more donors on board to support us in any activity as we have many on the scope. We are to partnership with individuals or organizations local or international to impact communities in rural Uganda
